In the world of Internet, browsing plays an important role. Everyone wants to browse the web as fast as possible. If you are a Google Chrome user, than below are few hacks that can speed up your Google Chrome. To enhance Google Chrome, we will enable few flags that can improve your browser speed. Making changes to flag is an experimental feature and they might not appear in the future release.
To modify the flags you need to access the flags page on chrome browser. Enter chrome://flags/ in the URL and press enter. “These experimental features may change, break, or disappear at any time. We make absolutely no guarantees about what may happen if you turn one of these experiments on, and your browser may even spontaneously combust.” warns Google Chrome. Proceed with caution. Use Ctrl+F on windows and Cmd+f to search for flags and modify them.
#1 Enhance Image Loading Time (Number of raster threads)
Are you facing slow image loading issue? This change will fasten your image loading speed in Chrome. Change the Number of raster threads to increase rendering speed of images. Set Number of raster threads to 4.
#2 Enhance Page Loading Time (Experimental canvas features)
Are you facing slow page loading issue? This modification will enable the chrome to use opaque canvases. This means that only upper layer of canvas is displayed, as a result it will speed up page loading time. Enable flag to enhance now.
#3 Enhance tab/window close speed (Fast tab/window close)
#4 Avoid auto-reloading of Tabs (Only Auto-Reload Visible Tabs)
This modification is important when you are having poor internet connection. Enabling this flag will allow only visible tabs to be reloaded and not all at a time. Pages that fail to load while the browser is offline will only be auto-reloaded if their tab is visible.
#5 Password Generation (Password generation)
Chrome will auto generate and suggest the auto generated password while it detects sign-up page. It becomes tough when choosing the password for each account uniquely. Thanks to Google chrome password generation flag feature.
#6 TCP Fast Open (TCP Fast Open)
Enable the option to send extra authentication information in the initial SYN packet for a previously connected client, allowing faster data send start. Enabling this flag will help reducing the network latency. It enhances the data transfer speed over TCP. This option is only available for Linux, Chrome OS, Android
#7 Automatic Tab Discarding (Automatic tab discarding)
If enabled, tabs get automatically discarded from memory when the system memory is low. Discarded tabs are still visible on the tab strip and get reloaded when clicked on. When your system is facing low memory than this feature can enhance your system.
#8 Enhance Graphics Performance (Zero-copy rasterizer)
Raster threads write directly to the GPU memory that is associated with tiles when activated. Stay away from this option if your system has less dedicated graphic memory or it will crash the browser.
In order to make the changes effective, you need to relaunch the browser. As soon as you make changes to any flag, the relaunch bar will be appeared at the bottom. After making all the changes to the flags click on RELAUNCH NOW.
